Itinerary

Day 1: Dehradun to Dhaula (195 km) | 7-8 hrs

Gather at the Dehradun Railway Station bright and early, ready for an adventure-filled day.
Embark on a scenic drive to the charming hamlet of Mori, nestled on the banks of the Tons River and surrounded by lush pine forests.
Make a pitstop in Netwar to pay homage at the historic Pokhu Devta temple, a stunning representation of the area's unique architecture.
Continue on to Dhaula, where your Rupin Pass trek officially begins.
Settle in for the night in tents, in preparation for the exciting journey ahead.

Day 2: Dhaula to Sewa Village | 3-4 hrs Trek

Embrace the magic of nature as you embark on a trek through mesmerizing rhododendron woodlands and fields.
Relax and admire the breathtaking beauty that surrounds you as you make your way to the quaint village of Sewa.
Spend a restful night in the tents, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of the wilderness.

Day 3: Sewa Village to Jakha | 6-7 hrs Trek

Embark on a cultural journey as you traverse through quaint hamlets and immerse yourself in the local lifestyle.
Wander through a mix of forests and catch a glimpse of the snow-capped Dhauladhar range.
Reach Jakha, the highest hamlet of the day, where you can spend the night in your tent.

Day 4: Jakha to Suruwas Thach | 5-6 hrs Trek

Embark on a journey to the breathtaking Suruwas Thach meadows, surrounded by dew-kissed greenery.
Wander by the riverbank, then venture into the lush jungle to reach the entrance of the Rupin Valley.
Glimpse the magnificent Rupin waterfall for the first time, surrounded by a pristine and rejuvenating atmosphere.
Settle for the night in tents, basked in the blissful surroundings.

Day 5: Suruwas Thach to Dhanderas Thach | 5 km, 4 hrs

Today, immerse yourself in the wonders that await. As you embark on a scenic ascent, take time to bask in the beauty and let go of your worries. Then, brace yourself for a steep and thrilling trek through possibly snow-covered terrain until you reach the breathtaking upper waterfall camping site, considered one of the finest in the world. Spend the night nestled in your cozy tent.

Day 6: Dhanderas Thach to Upper Waterfall Camp

Awaken to the sounds of the Himalayas as we embark on a journey to conquer the mighty Rupin Pass. This day, brace yourself for a challenging ascent as we climb through snowfields and rocky terrain. With ropes at our disposal, we will conquer the steep incline, reaching the summit in 4-6 hours.

At the top, feast your eyes on the panoramic view of the Himalayas and bask in the glory of the Kinner Kailash range and Charang La peaks. After taking a well-deserved rest, we will begin our descent and trek for a few hours to reach the lush pastures of Ronti Gad. After a fulfilling day, retire for the night in tents and get ready for another day of adventure.

Day 7: Upper Waterfall to Rupin Pass to Ronti Gad | 10 Km, 8-10 hrs

Embark on a breathtaking descent to Sangla, surrounded by the majestic Kinner Kailash range and quaint hamlets of the Sangla valley. Traverse a trail filled with stunning views and culminate at the meandering Baspa River. Recharge with a warm cup of masala tea before retiring for the night in cozy tents. Get ready for an unforgettable day filled with natural beauty and adventure.

Day 8: Ronti Gad to Sangla | 12 km/6 hrs

Rise and shine! This morning, it's time to savor a delicious breakfast before bidding adieu to the mountains. Climb into your ride and get ready to be whisked away to the quaint hill station of Shimla. Take in the breathtaking sights as you make your way down the winding roads. By afternoon, you'll have reached your destination, marking the end of this unforgettable Rupin Pass trek.
From here, Shimla, you can make your way your home or respective final destination.
